Bookin the worm

So I work at Alpine Credit Union.
The office I'm in is the newest, therefore the slowest.
So when I'm not chatting with my co-workers,
I'm reading.
I've actually read a lot of books in the last little while.
I read practically every single book of Mary Higgins Clark.
And recently my husband and I started reading the Percy Jackson series.
Then we went to the next series by the same author,
called Heroes of Olympus,
but there's only 2 books out so far.
So when I finished those,
I went to the next series by the same author.
Its called The Kane Chronicles.
But again, there's only 2 books out.
So when I finished those, I started a new series.
We had heard that the Fablehaven series were good, but
we couldn't find the first book, so
we just grabbed another series by the author that
wrote Fablehaven.
There's only 2 books out again.
I read the first one, and now I'm on the 2nd.
When I'm done with that one,
we'll probably get the
Fablehaven series.

So these books are technically in the
children's section at Barnes and Noble.
But its fine.
They're pretty entertaining.
If you've seen the Percy Jackson movie,
then you probably know what that series is about.
It's good.
The next series goes along with Percy, but
its a continuation with new people and everything.
We like them.
The Kane series is actually about Egyptian gods and goddesses.
We like them too, we like to read
about the different cultures, even though they're in based in
modern times.
The next series is about this other world that a kid
travels to on accident, and decides
to try and save it.
I guess we're entertained easily.

Oh and I forgot, I re-read the Hunger Games series
so I could remember it before I saw the movie.
I love those books.
Probably the only books I've read twice.

But anyway,
I just wanted to have it written down how
many books I've read in the last
little while.
Gotta love your job, right?

Standin' on your mama's porch....

On Monday we all went and hung out
with 4 other families and went to the Discovery Park.
It was super fun.
We just hung around, ran around,
they talked about the cruise that they're all going on.
It was good.
The kids that were there are just so dang cute,
I couldn't stop taking pictures of them.
to check out the pictures.
The lighting was so yummy, I died.
Its fun to just get together and hang out just for the fun of it.
After we went to the park, us and
another family came to my parents house and we did
a little fire with s'mores.
It was fun :)
Don't ever get my husband and my father
together with fire.
Bad idea....
My poor children...

Stuck in a rut...

Do you ever get in a rut?
I'm in one.
I used to cook dinner every night.
And I kept up with laundry
and dishes
fairly well.
But lately, I've been in a rut.
I've just been lazy.
Luckily my husband is amazing
and tries to convince me that I'm still doing good.
Let's face it.
I just need to get off my lazy butt.
(I'm sure blogging about it is really helping ;) )
But I figured I should post something
since I haven't posted in a while.
And that's pretty much all that's been going on.
Oh, I'm going to put another plug in for my
photography blog ;)
Check it out
its pierceyourheartphotography.blogspot.com
That's what I've been doing the last
little while.
Working on my blog/business.
So if you ever have photography needs,
hit me up ;)
Watch for future posts.
I'll be doing a newborn session soon.
I'm super stoked.
Sorry I kind of rambled.
I'm watching Friends.
And making chocolate chip oatmeal cookies.
Oh ya, I still make treats.
But nothing healthy...
Anyway,
hopefully I remember to blog more often.

;)
So I just finished designing and putting up
my new photography blog!
I'll still (try to) post normal posts on here,
but everything photography will be on this new blog.
I'm super stoked about it.

If you would like to view it,

My Heart is Set on You

So on Saturday the High School had
their Sadie's dance.
I took Justine's groups pictures.
The theme was decades.
Her group were greasers.
They were cute.
So we took their pictures at
the Sinclair over in PG
by the hospital.
IT WAS SO CUTE!!!!
It's pretty much my new favorite place.
Here's a couple pictures from their group.
I was taking a couple test shots while we were waiting for them

My awesome in-laws let us use their motorcycle for all the couples to sit on

Isn't Justine such a hottie??

These are all the girls
the group
and the guys.
They looked pretty darn good.

Oh. P.S.
The guy who owns this Sinclair was such an awesome guy.
He was way down to earth
and just a really nice guy.
Overall,
it was great.

Pizz Puffs
(from Pinterest)

3/4 c flour
3/4 tsp baking powder
1 T Italian Seasoning
Pinch of Salt
3/4 c whole milk
1 egg
1 c shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 c grated Parmesan cheese
1 c pepperoni
1/2 c pizza sauce

1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Grease muffin pan. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, Italian seasoning, and salt; whisk in the milk and egg. Stir in the mozzarella Parmesan and pepperoni. Let stand for 10 minutes.
2. Stir batter and divide among muffin cups. Bake until puffed and golden, about 20-25 minutes.
3. Meanwhile, microwave pizza sauce until warmed through. Serve puffs with pizza sauce for dipping.

Note: make sure you use WHOLE milk. Haha. I used 1% and it didn't turn out as well... No duh...

Finito!

Ebony and Ivory.
Bahaha.
These are Bob's guitars.
They're pretty cool.

This is my self portrait....
I hate taking pictures of myself.
That's why I'm behind the camera.
I cheated and edited it.
Oh well.

That's it!
I finally finished the 30 Day photography challenge.
It only took about 30 weeks...
Haha. Its fine.
I'm done!
